The Grand Hotel Villa Cora is a traditional Florentine building set in parkland and located beside the Bobolino Gardens and a short complimentary shuttle ride to Ponte Vecchio. DRIVING DIRECTIONS
The airport is a short taxi ride from town (costing 13-16 EUR)
although it is also possible to take the half-hourly bus, which
transports passengers to Santa Maria Novella Station, three ki
lometres from the hotel. Taxis from the airport can be taken di
rectly to the hotel and cost approximately 25 EUR. Buses servic
e the city centre; tickets can be bought at tobacconists or ven
ding machines. Tickets are sold on a time basis: one-hour, two-
hour or 24-hour tickets. Traffic is restricted in the city cent
re and parking is expensive, so the centre of Florence is best
explored on foot. Taxis wait outside Stazione di Santa Maria No
vella.
Driving directions: From the airport, drive i
n the direction of Vialli-Lungarni. Proceed on to Viale Guidoni
, Via di Novole, Viale Redi and Piazza di Porta al Prato. Cross
the Ponte Alla Vittoria Bridge and continue in the direction o
f Siena. Continue along Piazza Pier Vettori, Viale Francesco Pe
trarca to Porta Romana Square. Turn into Viale Machiavelli and
drive uphill until arriving at the hotel.
